At Penny Fausta we have Clinical Pharmacists with expanded scope of practice. In Alberta, Pharmacists may have Advanced Prescriptive Authority (APA) which allows them to renew, adapt and start new medications. These activities are an insured service by Alberta Health and do require an assessment by the pharmacist which will include accessing prior medical records.
